Sean Hinton joined the Law Offices of R. Scott Dover in 2012. Sean grew up in Pickens, South Carolina, where he attended the Public Schools of Pickens County. After graduating from the Charleston School of Law, he returned to Pickens, where he has focused on general trial litigation. Before joining the firm, Sean served as law clerk for the Honorable G. Edward Welmaker in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Sean focuses his practice on Personal Injury, including Wrongful Death, Automobile and Truck Accidents, and Work Related Injuries. Sean also handles numerous Family Court and Criminal Court cases, as well as Social Security Matters.
Sean graduated from Wofford College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Government. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law in 2011, where he graduated with honors. As a student, he served as editor and chief of the Maritime Law Bulletin, and he was selected by the faculty to become a member of the Forensic Club. Sean is licensed to practice law in the Courts of the State of South Carolina, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Sean is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Pickens County Bar Association, and the Greenville County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Upstate South Carolina American Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
Sean lives in Greenville with his wife Brandi and their dogs Charlie and Nalah.

Scott is married to Caroline Dover and they have five (5) children.
